Counselling Most of us have areas of our life that we are happy with and also some areas that are not working as well as we would like. By spending time with a supportive specially trained non-involved person you can benefit from the opportunity of exploring such areas in a safe confidential environment free from criticism or judgement.
Such exploration can then lead to greater clarity and enable changes to be made or facilitate greater acceptance when change is not possible or beneficial.
Possible issues of Concern Relationship problems Separation/Divorce Bereavement Trauma PTSD Parenting Anxieties and Phobias Depression Eating Disorders Stress Self-harm Low self-esteem Along with the more traditional talking therapy I offer a range of art form therapies to aid expression but only if the adult or young person is comfortable with such an approach.
I am particularly interested in the groundbreaking discoveries within Energy Psychology. Energy Psychology builds upon conventional psychotherapies and the ways that early experiences shape our current emotional and behavioural patterns. However Energy Psychology is able to take it a stage further by stimulating energy points on the skin combined with specific mental activities and thus instantly shift the brain's electrochemistry to help overcome unwanted emotions and change unwanted habits and behaviours.
I have included information about my favourite two forms of Energy Psychology: Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and The Emotion Code.
Supervision I also offer supervision for other counsellors and play therapists on an individual basis or in small groups.
My aim as a supervisor is to provide a supportive space where you as a counsellor (qualified or trainee) or play therapist can explore and reflect on your way of being with your clients.
We would work together to build a relationship of mutual respect and exploration so that you feel confident and able to discuss all aspects of the counselling/client relationship.
I offer the traditional talking methods of supervision as well as creative approaches for those supervisees who are comfortable with exploring their creative side.
